Run For Hope (RFH) is an annual run organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, Regent Singapore and the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) to raise much-needed awareness and support for cancer research. For more than 30 years, the Four Seasons group of hotels & resorts across the world have been deeply committed to the cause of advancing cancer research.
Why did I choose to run?
My paternal grandmother was diagnosed with Hepatitis B Liver Cancer and she passed within a 6 month period. My family was devastated to have our first lost in the family, I was only 10 years old then. Recalling about that incident, I knew that I was mourning but I did not realized the impact it had on my grandpa subsequently. The lost of his beloved wife, companion, soul mate. I could see his utmost love and adoration towards my grandma when she was still around. That gave me the sense of a loving family and it continued on with my life’s principles of cherishing your loved one. My family would set aside every sunday night to have dinner and fellowship over a meal, that tradition has continued till today. I would like to Run For Hope in memory of my late grandmother, I would also want to garner support to families that are going through or that have gone through difficult times like these and to remember our loved ones and to run for a cause

However, with advances in science and robust cancer research activities, we are hopeful that the progressive breakthroughs made by the NCCS team can lead to a cure.
